A Patriarchal Blessing given by K. H. Brown upon the head of Lars M. C. Christensen, born the 22 July 1847.

Brother Lars, in the name of Jesus Christ and by the power of a Patriarch, I lay my hands upon your head and seal upon you a Fathers and Patriarchal Blessing. You were chosen and ordained in the Council of the Lord to come here upon the earth in these last days to help build up Zion and establish its Stakes; that you might enter the Lord's holy Temple and accomplish a saving work for the kin of your forefathers who are dead; and that the spirit and power of the Lord might rest upon you as you shall receive the spirit of inspiration to fully understand your mission here in this life.

Through your obedience to the laws of the gospel you shall be anointed a king and priest unto God and the Lamb. You are of the House of Israel and the lineage of Joseph and therefore a joint heir to all the endowments, anointings, keys and priesthoods that belong to the New and Everlasting covenant. You shall stand as a father for a numerous posterity, just as Jacob obtained with his wives, and your seed and posterity shall be as the stars in the heavens for they shall multiply throughout time and throughout eternities. Your power shall be from the Lord and your posterity numbered among the House of Israel forever. Then shall all earthly blessings, orchards, and vineyards, herds and flocks be given you and your life shall be spared long upon the earth.

The still small voice will say to you, go back to your native land where you shall bear witness of the Gospel for your relatives and friends and the high and the low. You shall do many mighty works in their midst as the angels of the Lord shall prepare the way and the wisdom of the Holy Ghost given you and you shall receive a crown of glory. The Prince of Darkness shall never conquer you as you shall live and see Zion flourish and the Saints win over their enemies and the power of the ungodly break apart just as the vessels of the mob.

I seal you up to the Eternal Lives that you may come forth on the First Resurrection morning and stand as a Patriarch for your family receiving kingdoms, principalities, powers, honor and immortality and a Celestial Crown in the Kingdom of God.

These blessings I seal upon your head through the power of the Holy Priesthood and in the name of Jesus, so let it be, amen.
