Sister Sarah Christenson, By virtue of the Holy calling whereunto I have been called, and in the authority of the Melchizedek priesthood, I place my hands upon your head and seal upon you a Patriarchal blessing. Your lineage is of Ephraim, that choice son of Joseph who was sold into Egypt. You are therefore one of the chosen children of the Lord for He hath made great promises unto those who are of Ephraim. You have been reserved of our Father, in your heavenly abode to come upon the earth in His great Latterday when He has again set His hand and manifested His power to establish His church and build up His Kingdom upon the earth. The Lord has a goodly work for thee to do. Thou shalt have the honored and blessed privilege of raising sons and daughter who shall become valiant in the cause of truth, and who shall also assist in the glorious purposes of our Father in Heaven. Thou hast been greatly blessed of our Father with a kind heart and a humble faithful disposition which will be made manifest in good works among thine associates, and especially with thine offspring, for thou shall have great influence with them, even in leading them in the paths of duty and righteousness before the Lord. Thou shall enjoy the gifts and power of the Holy Ghost in teaching and controlling thy children. You will also be a great strength and help to your companion and in connection with him will be able to accomplish a great amount of good in the Lord's cause. For you will be one with your husband in all his labors, and will see eye to eye with him in all things. Your children will have great love and respect for thee on account of thy many virtues and good examples which thou shalt set before them. You will enjoy the gifts of faith to a remarkable degree. Your faith will be made manifest in many ways. You will have power through faith and the influence of the Holy Spirit to overcome your weaknesses and imperfections. You will have power to withstand temptation and overcome sin. By the gifts of faith you will heal the sick and drive from your habitation the power of evil influences and spirits. The Lord will make plain unto you His will concerning you and the work He designs thee to do. You will never be deserted or left alone but the spirit of the Lord will be round about you continually to direct and guide you in the labors of this life. Therefore be humble and prayerful before your Father in Heaven, seek diligently for the companionship of the Holy Ghost to guide and direct you in your searching for wisdom, and knowledge of the principle of our Holy religion. By the inspiration of the Holy Ghost, thou shall comprehend the scriptures, ancient and modern, and will be enabled to explain them to your children and your associates to their comprehension. Your efforts will be crowned with great success, for you will have power given unto you to lead many who were wayward and sinful, from the paths of transgression, unto the road that leads to light and life eternal. You will be preserved upon the earth to witness the accomplishment of many of the great designs of our Heavenly Father concerning His people and work in these the Latterdays. Through your faithfulness thou shalt live even until thou shalt be satisfied with this life. Thou shalt have great joy in thy family associations because of thy faithfulness before the Lord. Thy posterity shall become great, and many shall become very valiant in the cause of the Lord. Thou shalt have much joy in this life, nevertheless you will be called to pass through some trials and afflictions. But the Lord will strengthen thee and will sanctify thy trials to thee for good here and hereafter even in this life and in the life to come. You will have the privilege of entering into the Holy Temples of the Lord and therein behold the power of the Lord made manifest to a remarkable degree. You will assist in the accomplishment of a great work for your dead kindred. Therefore be very humble and prayerful before our Heavenly Father and have abiding faith in Him and the power that He has manifested unto His faithful children, do not doubt and these blessings and many others shall be verified in thy behalf, for the holy angels of the Lord shall be near thee to protect thee from danger seen and unseen. Thou shall have power to come forth in the morning of the first resurrection, to gather with thy companion and posterity, crowned with Glory, Immortality, and Eternal lives. These blessings and many other shall be thine through thy faithfulness, and I seal them upon thee in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
